This one bedroomed apartment is situated on the first floor, in a quiet corner on the upper level of the Atalaya Complex close to the Casino in central Puerto del Carmen. The property had major refurbishment in September 2020, with a brand-new kitchen, bathroom and fitted wardrobes.

Atalaya is a popular and peaceful, medium sized complex with communal pool located very centrally in Puerto del Carmen, just 3 minutes’ flat walk to the seafront promenade where there are shops, restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets.

A highlight of this fabulous apartment is surely the panoramic sea view from the generous sized, south facing, very private balcony. The balcony has chairs with cushions, two sunloungers and a retractable sun awning so that guests can have sun or shade all day long.

This bright & airy one bedroomed apartment is wonderfully comfortable with extra touches. The new kitchen has hob and full oven, large fridge freezer, microwave, kettle & toaster and Tassimo coffee machine. The lounge has a modern L-shaped sofa which transforms into a comfortable double bed and 32″ flat screen TV. There is free wifi in the apartment for guests to use, and UK and international TV channels are available (via internet). The separate bedroom has comfortable twin beds (with new mattresses in 2025), ceiling fan, and lots of storage space. Beds have duvets in winter. The bathroom has a walk in rain shower, vanity unit and washing machine. There are fans in the lounge and bedroom for warmer months.

The Atalaya Complex has a communal pool with sunloungers and panoramic sea views. It’s known for being quiet and peaceful.

There is on street parking around the complex, and there is a well-stocked supermarket right next door.

Access – There are two secure gated entrances to the upper Atalaya complex. Parking is available at both. The rear entrance affords direct access to the complex from street level and is a 6 minute walk from the sea front (slightly uphill coming back). Using this entrance there are 15 steps down and 16 steps up to the apartment. The front entrance is 3 minutes’ flat walk from the sea front. Access from the front entrance involves 65 steps which are staggered.

The Casino, which is at the centre of Puerto del Carmen’s seafront promenade, is just 3 minutes flat walk. Playa Grande, Puerto del Carmen’s golden expanse of beach is 7 minutes walk.

We had a lovely stay at the apartment. It is in a fantastic location close to restaurants and bars. The terrace has amazing views as well as lots of room to sunbathe. The apartment itself was comfortable and the rooms were a decent size. There was everything we needed such as a TV, mirror, hairdryer, coat hangers, and kitchen equipment. Hope to go back next year!

Fabulous apartment,great location, comfortable beds lovely balcony with sun beds and awning if you want some shade. Short walk down to the strip with lots of bars and restaurants. Quiet day and night will be back.

We stayed here for a week and chose this apartment for the location. We found the apartment very well appointed, nice modern bathroom and a spacious bedroom, the kitchen was well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the lovely private balcony with great views and sun for most of the day. The pool was nice and quiet.
The apartment advert does say that you need to climb steps as there is no lift so bear that in mind. You can enter from the back entrance which saves some of the steps. We are both in our sixties and managed absolutely fine.

Lovely balcony with sun loungers and sea view where I spent most of my time in December. In the evening, the sun hides behind the house and becomes cool, so it is advisable to have blankets. The kitchen has everything you need. Recommended
